HURRICANE KATRINA TOURDuration: 3 hours

It's history! Experience an eyewitness account of the events surrounding "America's Greatest Catastrophe". Drive past actual levees that "breached" and see the resulting devastation that displaced hundreds of thousands of U.S. residents. Your tour guide will give a local's chronology of events leading up to the storm and the days immediately following the disaster. This tour travels through neighborhoods such as Lakeview, Gentilly, New Orleans East, St. Bernard, and the Ninth Ward. After this tour, you'll have a better understanding of events pre-and post-Katrina and the rebirth of New Orleans!

RIVER ROAD PLANTATIONS TOURDuration: 6.25 hours

Laura, a Creole Plantation built in 1805, offers what has been called one of the best history tour in the U.S. by detailing 250 years of true-life stories of the Creole women, slaves and children who lived and worked here. The West-African folktales of Compair Lapin (later known as Br'er Rabbit) were recorded here over 140 years ago. Tour Evergreen Plantation, the most intact plantation complex in the South with 37 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, including 22 slave cabins. Today, Evergreen Plantation remains a privately owned, working sugar cane plantation. Come walk with us through a living history book. Cost for lunch is not included in tour price.
