In Snowbird, a single snowfall can leave over 100 inches of light powder thanks to lake effect conditions from the nearby Great Salt Lake. With these conditions and almost 3,000 vertical feet of steep bowls and tree-lined chutes, Snowbird is a must for lovers of winter sports.

With a quieter nightlife in its small pedestrian village at the base of the mountain, the Snowbird experience is somewhat subdued. However, be sure not to miss its great restaurants, hiking trails and luge.
