National Premium Package Includes:
A valid driver's license and major credit card is required. Accepted credit cards are American Express, Visa, Diners, Discover and MasterCard. Debit and check cards have unique requirements; please read the Exceptions below.
Premium Package customers are required to pre-register online in advance of travel. Complete instructions on when and how to pre-register will be on the travel documents.
Customers who have not pre-registered online or who require special services, such as car seats or GPS navigation systems, will need to check in at the rental counter to complete their registration.
Exceptions: Debit and check cards may only be used in conjunction with proof of a roundtrip airline ticket at time of rental. A debit/check card is considered to be any non-credit card bearing the Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card logo. Non-credit cards without the Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card logo are not accepted. Without proof of a roundtrip airline ticket, a debit/check card is only accepted when returning the vehicle; a credit card in the name of the renter must be presented at time of pick-up.

Rental Day Information
National Car Rental operates on a 24-hour clock. Customers receive a 59-minute grace period when returning the vehicle.
Example: Pickup time is 12 noon - Return time must be no later than 12:59 p.m. Once the customer passes the 59-minute grace period another charge day will apply. The customer pays the additional fee to National.
If a customer extends the rental anytime after the vehicle has been picked up at the rental location, a fee of $10.99 per day will be assessed, in addition to any additional applicable rates. These fees will be payable by the customer directly to National.
Driver Eligibility Policy
National Car Rental requires that all drivers have a clean driving record. National may verify your driving record with the department of motor vehicles. Rental privileges are denied if a driver's license is suspended or his/her record includes, but is not limited to, one of the following:
The Premium Package includes the following coverage:
Lost Damage Waiver (LDW) waives the renter's and authorized driver(s) responsibility for loss or damage to the rental vehicle up to the full value of the vehicle including administrative and loss of use fees. LDW does not cover unauthorized drivers and is void if the renter or authorized driver(s) engage in any of the Prohibited Uses and Violations as described in the Terms and Conditions. Note: National may elect not to repair a vehicle in which case the renter or authorized driver(s) is responsible for the retail value of the vehicle before it was damaged, less any salvage amount that National collects.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) provides primary protection for liability claims against the Renter and authorized drivers for injury/death or property damage. National provides the renter and authorized drivers with third party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the vehicle (the Primary Protection). SLI also provides third party liability protection, through an excess liability policy, with limits of the difference between the Primary Protection and a combined single limit of $1 million per accident for bodily injury, death and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the National rental vehicle by the (renter) or an authorized driver, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. SLI also provides Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist (collectively UM/UIM) for bodily injury and property damage, for the difference between the statutory minimum underlying limits and $100,000 (or state mandated UM/UIM limits, whichever is greater)* to the (renter) and any family member related by blood, marriage or adoption, who while occupying the National rental car sustained bodily injury or death caused by a negligent uninsured/underinsured motorist. SLI does not include any additional UM/UIM coverage above $100,000 (unless mandated by law).
There are no additional fees for up to 5 drivers using the same vehicle under the Premium Package program; however all drivers must pre-register on line or at the rental counter and provide their driver's license information to qualify.
Additional drivers may be required to present a valid license and credit card in their name at the time of rental.
Drivers 24 years of age and under will be assessed a Young Renters Fee, payable directly to National.
A customer who wants to cash qualify is not a candidate for Premium Package. A credit card in the primary driver's name is required for the online pre-registration process. The same credit card must be presented upon rental pickup as was presented in online registration in order to bypass the counter.
Handicap cars are not available through the Premium Package process. Handicapped car require special handling requiring a visit to the rental counter, therefore are not available for the Premium Package.
Please follow the procedures for the standard National Car Rental option. Do not book handicapped cars under Premium Package.
