Budapest is actually comprised of 2 cities—Buda on the west side of the Danube River with its colorful hills and Castle District; and Pest, on the opposite bank with its wide boulevards and stately buildings. Most of the hotels we offer are on the Pest side of the city, within walking distance to the city's main attractions.

Budapest, Hungary
When in Budapest, you'll spend most of your time on the Pest side of the Danube; however, it's best to begin your visit on the Buda side, high on Castle Hill, overlooking the main city below. From here you can see the great Chain Bridge across the Danube and Budapest's exquisite Parliament building, the second largest in Europe after England's Westminster.
Back on the Pest side, the boulevards are wide and perfect for sightseeing, especially along Pest's greatest boulevard, the majestic Andrássy Boulevard toward Heroes' Square and City Park. Another great favorite walking—and shopping—street is Váci utca, lined with designer shops and major department stores. Another fun place to shop is the Nagycsarnok, or the Great Market. It's one of the best places to pick up intricately painted wooden eggs and Hungarian paprika (sweet or smoked) to make your own—and authentic—Hungarian goulash at home.
