Tours
Pisa

Enjoy a splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historical university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. After the panoramic drive along the Arno embankments, the tour proceeds on foot with a guided visit of Piazza dei Miracoli to find the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, the Cathedral (visit), an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art created between the 11th and 12th centuries. The guide will lead the excursion to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the historic Scuola Normale resides, one of the most famous universities in the world.

Tour departs daily April 01-Oct0ber 31. Duration is approximately 5.5 hours. There is no pick-up at the hotel. Check-in at Piazza Adua - corner of via Valfonda. Check-in time is 1:45 pm and tour departs at 2 pm.

Sienna and San Gimignano

Visit San Gimignano, one of the most splendid examples of medieval towns and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco with beautiful squares, buildings, churches and narrow alleys. The tour continues to Siena with a visit of the Cathedral (interior) and the Palazzo Comunale (Municipal Building) in Piazza del Campo. In the afternoon, visit to the Chianti area with its charming scenic views. After a stop at the hamlet of Castellina in Chianti, refreshments of sliced cold meats, bruschettas, salami, and cheeses will accompany the sampling of some of the best wines of Tuscany. Tour includes: transport, tour escort, local guide in Siena, Siena Cathedral entrance, wine tasting.

Tour departs Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Tour duration is approximately 8.5 hours. There is no pick-up at the hotel. Check-in at Piazza Adua - corner of via Valfonda. Check in time is 8:45am and tour departs at 9am.

Visit of Florence (Afternoon)

Depart for a brief excursion to Fiesole, a delightful town of Etruscan origin, positioned on the hill that dominates Florence and the Arno Valley. The tour continues to the historic city center for a visit to the Church of Santa Croce where you can admire the tombs of Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo, Rossini, and others. A short walk through the historical streets in the heart of Florence brings you to the famous Piazza della Signoria, where you can enjoy the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and the beautiful Loggia dei Lanzi. The tour then continues to the famous Uffizi Gallery* to revel in the magnificent paintings of Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, and Masaccio.

The Uffizi Gallery is closed on Mondays and will be replaced with a visit to the Museum of Palazzo Vecchio.

Tour departs daily, except Mondays, and duration is approximately four hours. There is no pick-up at the hotel. Main departure point is Piazza della Signoria, at Fontana del Nettuno. Check-in time is 2:00pm.

Visit of Florence (Morning)

Guests will be taken along the romantic Viale dei Colli up to the Piazzale Michelangelo to admire the wonderful panorama of the city. The tour will proceed to the Duomo Complex to visit the Baptistery with its bronze doors including the famous Gates of Paradise, Giotto's bell tower, and the Cathedral with its grandiose Cupola of Brunelleschi. The tour continues onto the renowned Galleria dell 'Accademia* to admire the famous David by Michelangelo and other works by the great artist.

Tour departs daily, except Mondays, November 15 - February 28, and duration is approximately four hours. There is no pick-up at the hotel. Main departure point is Via Valfonda, corner with Piazza Adua. Check in time is 9:30 am.
