Bullfights

Relax as you are transferred in a private vehicle between the Madrid Barajas Airport and your hotel. Vehicle type will generally be a Mercedes 300 E for 1-3 passengers, or a VW Caravelle for 4-6 passengers. The first town on your tour is Ávila, where Sta Teresa de Jesús, a great mystic woman of the Catholic Church, was born. Ávila is the most ancient and complete fortified complex in Spain and dates back to the 11th century. Its 1 1/2-mile long wall and its 90 fortified towers surround the old city, which houses a large number of Romanesque style churches, gothic palaces, and a fortified cathedral of the 12th century. Next stop is Segovia with its famous 10-mile long aqueduct, which is a remnant of the Roman Empire. Once the residence of the kings of Castilia, Segovia is made up of one of the most important groups of medieval buildings in Spain. The cathedral is considered "the Lady of the Cathedrals" thanks to its elegance and the Alcassar is the most spectacular castle in the country. Tour - El Escorial & Valley of the Fallen
El Escorial is the historical and spectacular residence of the king of Spain and a symbol of the Spanish power in the 16th century. It also serves as a mausoleum, monastery, and museum. Due to the symmetry and balance of the Renaissance-style construction it was long considered the 8th wonder of the world. The visit includes the Habsburg Palace, Kings and Princes Pantheon, Chapter Houses, and the Basilica. Valle de los Caidos means the Valley of the Fallen. This enormous monument was built between 1940 and 1959 to honor the Spaniards killed during the Civil War is located 6 miles from El Escorial. It is a Basilica excavated in the mountain at an altitude of 4430 feet above sea level where an impressive 492-foot high cross places itself over the magnificent nature reserve of the Madrid mountain range.
