It includes a legal declaration of your freedom to marry your partner, traditional marriage ceremony questions from the Minister, and a ring exchange section. You may add your own personal vows to the ceremony; to do so, provide the wedding coordinator with a copy of them on arrival.

Terms & Conditions –

Couples must be on the island at least 2 business days prior to the ceremony. Documentation needed for U.S. citizens: Certified copy of birth certificate, copy of passport, copy of divorce papers if divorced or death certificate if widowed, and parents legal consent if under 21.

Instructions –

Once the Romance travel specialist confirms the wedding package, the clients need to contact the hotel directly to organize the details of their wedding, at: 1-876-953-2485 and ask for Nikki Nicholson-Thompson or by email at nnicholson@sunspreejam.com.

The documentation listed below needs to be sent via fax to 1-876-953-9480.

Documentation:

• Notarized photocopies or certified copies of both birth certificates

Good to know –

All paperwork is handled by the hotel. During the wedding the couple will be required to sign three Marriage Registers, in addition to the signature of their witnesses (two will be provided, in the event the couple does not have their own), and the Ministers signature. The Minister will then give the couple one of the Marriage Registers known as the Bridal copy and the other two will be used to apply for their Marriage Certificate. This is a legal document with a raised seal and the Jamaican Coat of Arms and is legal worldwide. This Certificate takes some time to be processed and will be mailed to the couple. Please provide the wedding coordinator with a proper address to send the document.

BRING ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS with you to the resort.

  Government regulation and required documentation to get married in Jamaica (legal civil ceremony):

• Notarized photocopies or certified copies of both birth certificates
• Completed wedding information form from the Sandals and Beaches web site
• Copies of photo ID (passport or driver's license)
• If divorced, notarized photocopy/copies of the final divorce decree (s)
• If widowed, notarized photocopy/copies of the death certificate for deceased spouse
• Written consent of parents if 20 years of age or under
• Your marriage will be honored worldwide
• Parents written consent if under age 18
• A blood test is NOT required
