Hotel restrictions and qualification:

• Wedding packages are only available to guests staying at Vallarta Palace during the dates of their stay.
• Deposit of 50% of wedding ceremony price is due at the time of booking
• A $300 cancellation fee will apply to weddings cancelled within 45 days of the ceremony date

Other information:

• Wedding ceremony days: Monday - Saturday. Weddings are not performed on Sunday
• Wedding ceremony times: April - September, every hour 11 am - 6 pm and October -– March, every hour 11 am 54 pm
• Wedding ceremony locations: Beach, Beachfront Gazebo
• Wedding ceremony dress code: Formal or semi-formal, no shorts or bathing suits
• Non-hotel guest policy: Non-hotel guests of Vallarta Palace are allowed to attend the wedding ceremony, but will be required to purchase a day pass which includes access to the full all-inclusive features of the hotel for the day - Palace Resorts reserves the right to limit the number of day passes sold once the property has reached it's maximum capacity

Additional required charges not included in wedding packages (all in US

• Required blood test: Approximately $60 per person. This test must be performed in Mexico.
• Document translation fees: All translations must be done by the Vallarta Palace on-site certified translators (fee approximately $45-$80 varies depending upon number of pages in documents)

Government regulation and required documentation to get married in Mexico (legal civil ceremony):

• A minimum of 4 business days is needed from date of arrival in the country to compete all required paperwork and tests prior to ceremony
• Civil ceremonies are not performed on Sundays
• Couples 17 years of age and under require parental approval.
• Completed marriage application (provided at hotel)
• Valid passports
• Tourist information card (provided upon entry to Mexico)
• Certified copy of birth certificates (with the Apostille document attached)
• Legal documentation of adoption or name change if applicable
• Original blood tests to determine blood type, HIV, and STD. Tests must be performed in the destination. Results generally take 24 hours to receive and are valid for up to 14 days. If tests are positive, the wedding ceremony cannot be performed.
• Four witnesses with valid passports. Witnesses may be provided by the hotel

if you do not have witnesses traveling with you. Witnesses must arrive two business days prior to the ceremony.

• Divorced individuals must provide a certified copy of the divorce decree. If you are divorced more than once, a certified copy of each divorce decree is required. Women are not allowed to re-marry in Mexico for 300 days following their divorce. For women who have been divorced less than one year, a pregnancy test must be performed in the destination. If the test is positive, the wedding ceremony cannot be performed.
• Widowed individuals must provide a certified copy of the former spouses death certificate.
• Names on passport and birth certificate must match. If names do not match due to divorce or death, then the name on the certified copy of the birth certificate should be the name used on the tourist card upon entering Mexico. This name will also be used as the maiden name on the wedding application.
• Birth certificates, name change, adoption, divorce decree, and death certificate all require an Apostille seal attached for use in Mexico. The Apostille seal is the official seal of the Secretary of State from the state where the document was originally issued to certify its use in a country. This is not the same as a notary public stamp. The process of obtaining an Apostille is done via mail. Call your Secretary of States Notary Public to find out the mailing address and forward your documents to them with a small fee (if applicable) for processing. Once complete, the original documents will be returned to you with the seal. You do not have to do anything in person. You should plan additional time to compete this process prior to travel.
• The bride and groom must not be legally married in order to qualify for any Civil wedding packages. If they are already married, only a Symbolic wedding or Vow Renewal can be performed.
