Update 2/15/13:
The Park Shore will be undergoing exterior painting and spalling April 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013 and during the period of May 1, 2013 through May 31, 2013, they will also be replacing some bathtubs. The hotel will be operational during this work but due to safety reasons, the pool and certain room balconies may be limited or not available for use. Work hours will be limited to 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday and some noise may be heard during these work hours.
Update 6/29/12:
Park Shore Waikiki will undergo a $10.7 million complete renovation! Upgrades will start August 6, 2012 with an anticipated completion in February 2013. The renovated guest rooms will include new carpeting& tiling, 42. flat screen LCD HDTVs, upgraded mattresses & triple sheeting with decorative bedding, furniture, light fixtures, wallpaper, coffeemakers, refrigerators, soft goods and more. The bathrooms will have new tubs & showers, tiling, granite top counters, vanities, and lighting. As for the public areas, the hallways will have new carpeting, lighting and paint. The lobby will have new lighting, paint, artwork, a front desk refurbishment in addition to an overall replacement soft goods. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions. Work hours will be limited to 8am-5pm, 5 days week with heavy work limited to 10am-4pm. The hotel will continue to be fully operational during this time. The many complimentary amenities that are currently provided will continue. WiFi in the lobby & mezzanine level, daily local newspapers, and safe deposit boxes in the lobby will all be available complimentary. After the renovation has been completed, the hotel will enhance its complimentary amenities by adding HD programming on the guest room LCD TVs, wireless internet in all guest rooms, and usage of the new in-room digital safes. While these improvements are being made, guests may hear some noise during the day.
