2008: Excalibur's $30 million room remodel is complete for 1000 rooms. They are called the Widescreen rooms, and are available for sale as an upgraded room type. 5/2/07: Excalibur's $30 million room remodel is now underway. This will provide 1,000 rooms with a floor-to-ceiling makeover. The new rooms will feature a bright color palette, 42-inch plasma TVs, granite bathroom countertops, pillow top mattresses, clock radios with iPod inputs and a host of new furnishings that offer a modern interpretation of Excalibur's classic castle theme. The first 1,000 rooms are scheduled to be completed in July. Due to the limited number of renovated rooms, they will be offered for an upgrade charge, based upon availability at check-in.
