In addition, they will need to have a certified copy of a state-issued birth certificate, proof of citizenship such as a passport, and written consent of parent if under 18 years of age. If divorced, proof of divorce - original certificate of divorce, or if widowed, certified copy of death certificate.

• A wedding in the Bahamas requires the couple to be on the island for at least 2 business days prior (not including day of arrival, arrival, weekends or Holidays) to submitting an application for license. Couple must have proof of status, which is single, divorced, or widowed. In addition, they will need to have the notarized documents (indicated below) sent to International Lifestyles.
• Completed marriage application (provided at hotel)
• Couples 17 years of age and under require parental approval.
• Names on passport and birth certificate must match and must also include the fathers' names. These names will also be used as the maiden name on the wedding application.
• All foreign language documents must be legally translated to English and submitted with original language documents.
• Wedding couple must have proof of eligibility for marriage, which is single, divorced, or widowed. In addition, notarized copies of the documentation listed must be sent to: International Lifestyles at P.O. Box 222800, Hollywood, FL 33022, no later than 30 days prior to the wedding.
