Government regulation and required documentation to get married in St. Lucia (legal civil ceremony):

• A wedding in St. Lucia requires the couple to be on the island for at least 3 business days prior (not including day of arrival,weekends or holidays) to submitting an application for license. Couple must have proof of status, which is single, divorced, or widowed. If status is divorced, the stamped divorce decree must be presented.
• Completed marriage application (provided at hotel)
• Couples 17 years of age and under require parental approval.
• Names on passport and birth certificate must match. This name will also be used as the maiden name on the wedding application.
• All foreign language documents must be legally translated to English and submitted with original language documents.
