This grand metropolis, often called the "Emerald City," excites the senses. It sits on the eastern edge of Australia, south of the famous Great Barrier Reef. Once you arrive, take a ferry out into the city harbor for spectacular views of the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The city is home to more than 20 glorious beaches—2 of the most famous are Manly and Bondi. Stroll Darling Harbour's many shops, restaurants, and museums. Wander the gorgeous Botanic Gardens and see an incredible variety of plants and birds. Make sure to check out Circular Quay, which is close to many of the city's main attractions; it also is the main docking area for ferries and a large train hub.

Tuesday and Wednesday departures and returns from Detroit and Memphis; Wednesday departures and returns from Cincinnati and Minneapolis/St. Paul; and Monday and Wednesday departures and returns from Atlanta. All via nonstop or connecting service on Delta Air Lines and certain Delta codeshare partners, and are valid for specific travel dates between Aug 3 – Sept 29, 2010. Advance purchase requirements vary. Two-night minimum stay; 30-day maximum stay. Other travel days and dates and accommodations are available at other prices. May require travel on specific flights or times; blackout dates may apply. Prices include $160 roundtrip international fuel surcharge.

Prices with air travel included do not include Federal Excise tax of $3.70, Passenger Facility Charge(s) of up to $4.50, and the September 11th Security Fee of up to $2.50 for each flight segment; for travel to/from Hawaii/Alaska, U.S. International Air Transportation Tax of up to $16.20 is not included; and for international travel, including travel to/from PR/U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. International Air Transportation Tax of up to $32.20 and U.S. and foreign user, inspection, security, or other similarly based charges, fees, or taxes of up to $299 are not included, depending on itinerary. For travel within the United States/PR/U.S. Virgin Islands and to/from Canada, $23 USD/CAD fee for 1 checked bag and $32 USD/CAD for second checked bag when bags are prepaid during online check-in at delta.com. There is a $2 USD/CAD surcharge for the first bag, $3 USD/CAD for the second bag, when checking in via ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside. For travel to/from Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Mexico there is a $27 USD/CAD/EUR/GBP fee for second bag checked when bags are prepaid during online check-in at delta.com. There is a $3 USD/CAD/EUR/GBP surcharge for the second bag when checking in via ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside. For travel to/from Europe there is a 55 USD/CAD/EUR/GBP fee for second bag checked when bags are prepaid during online check-in at delta.com. There is a 5 USD/CAD/EUR/GBP surcharge for the second bag, when checking in via ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside. For all other travel, no fee/surcharge for 2 checked bags. For travel to/ from Europe and to/from Japan there is a 200 USD/CAD/EUR/GBP fee for third checked bag; to/from the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America there is a $100 USD/CAD fee for the third checked bag; and to/from Asia (other than Japan) there is a $150 USD/CAD fee for the third bag checked bag.
